Hooda today inaugurated four newly constructed buildings in Maharshi Dayanand
University (MDU). The inaugurated buildings include University Secretariat,
Pariksha Sadan (Examination Wing), Vishwavidyalaya Haat (Shopping complex), and
Bank Square (Banking Complex).

Vice Chancellor Er. H.S. Chahal expressed the gratitude of Chief Minister for inaugurating
the University buildings and taking keen interest in the development of the
varsity. Notably, University Secretariat has been built at the cost of Rs.
23.29 crore. It has total covered area of 7206 sq. meter.. Pariksha Sadan,
which will house all offices related to examination work, has total covered
area of 7830 sq.meter, and has been built at cost of Rs. 20.48 crore. The
University Secretariat and Pariksha Sadan building adhere to Green Building
norms, and have been designed in corporate style office mode.
Vishwavidyalaya Haat is the new
shopping complex encompassing 16 shops and 2 halls meant for restaurant. It has
covered area of 362.70 sq.meter, and has been built at the cost of Rs. 1.91
crore. Bank Square will house bank(s). It has all the facilities required for
banking purpose. The building has been built at a cost of Rs. 2.13 crore, and
has total covered area of 630 sq.meter. All these buildings will boost the
infrastructure facilities on the campus, informed Vice Chancellor Chahal.
MLA’s Srikrishan Hooda, Anand Singh Dangi, Bharat Bhushan Batra, Shakuntala Khatak, Officers of Rohtak District Administration, MDU Registrar Dr. S.P. Vats, Controller of Examination Dr. B.S. Sindhu, other University functionaries, varsity faculty members and employees, and other distinguished guests were present during the inauguration ceremonies organized in MDU today .
