"SUSTAINABLE HOSPITALITY & TOURISM IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR"

  The concept of Green Hospitality and Tourism is an economical concept, and Sustainable Tourism is the need of the hour. This was stated by noted environmentalist and celebrated environmental business speaker Vasu Ritu Primlani in her key note address in the Seminar on ENVIRONMENTAL AND BUSINESS ISSUES IN HOSPITALITY & TOURISM INDUSTRY organized today in Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management (IHTM) of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU).

        In her thought-provoking address Vasu Ritu Primlani focussed on strategies required for green hospitality in India. She gave tips on pollution prevention, water conservation, storm water management, solid waste management, energy conservation in hospitality sector. She also highlighted the economical benefits of Sustainability in Hospitality & Tourism sector. She answered the queries of delegates after her address.

        Earlier, Organizing Secretary of the seminar Dr. Ashish Dahiya explained the background of the Seminar. He said that Environment and Sustainability are important factors in today’s world. Director, IHTM Prof. Daleep Singh said that keeping in view the looming energy crisis at global level, eco-friendly and energy saving hospitality and tourism is needed. Faculty member of IHTM, delegates from Hospitality and Tourism institutes, students of IHTM were present in the seminar.
